Before attending the Royal Agricultural College, Cirencester I worked at Boyton Farms in Wiltshire, home of the famous Berkswell Herd of Tamworth Pigs and enjoyed working with the pigs so much that when I left college two years later I brought four Weaner Gilts home with me in the back of the car!
And that was the start..!!
Over the ensuing years I have built up a herd that I am very proud of, and I am continually looking for ways to further improve the way I handle and care for the pigs and promote the fantastic qualities of our traditional native breeds.
O ther than private sales I sell stock into the Traditional Meat Marketing Scheme, which supplies meat to quality farm shops and butchers around the region, including the Blagdon Farm Shop & T. R. Johnsons in Wooler, who have been awarded the Butchers of the Year 2007.
The courses I offer not only demonstrate pig husbandry but may also appeal to those who simply like pigs, enjoy the countryside and learning about its way of life or those who care about good quality food and its traceability.

I also offer gift vouchers for sale should you want to give someone the chance to experience one of my courses! The vouchers are available for all courses - they make a great and unusual present!
